Was holding the piece of metal that was being cut with left hand while holding the grinder with right hand.

Was cutting close to his left hand grinder wheel caught exploded pulling left thumb into the wheel causing a deep laceration. Was not wearing gloves grinder did not have required guard and metal pipe was not in a vise.

Laceration to left thumb. After ER visit x-ray determined a fracture in the thumb as well.
