Before the incident
EE was running the MIAB welder loading components and unloading components.
What happened
EE states that they were grabbing a raw steel tube from a basket and dropped it as the tube fell the sharp edge cut their leg (they were wearing shorts at the time.) The EE was sent to the clinic after being treated at the plant by first responders. The clinic closed the wound with sutures and sent them back to work with no restrictions. During investigation it was found that the employee was not replacing their PPE daily (gloves) the gloves they were using were old saturated with oils and had no grip. EE was coached on replacing PPE daily.
