Employee states they were removing components to prepare for changeover of tooling on their machine.

EE states they were working on a tooling change for the 11 MIAB welder. Tooling components are heavy (approximately 30-40lb) and the employee was keeping them the floor rather than a tooling cart. During install the employee felt intense pain in their abdomen as they bent over to lift the tooling from the ground. Supervisor and first responder were alerted to the employee who was doubled over in pain the supervisor called an ambulance to take the employee to the ER where they were examined and discharged - told to follow up with primary care. After follow-up wiht primary care the employee was diagnosed with a hernia.
