What happened
EE states that within the first 30 minutes of their shift while setting down a part on 4-5 balancer during a team lift they smashed their left pointer finger as the part was dropped into place on the cradle. During handling the EE had their hands underneath the part and set the weight down on top of the finger pinching it between the part and the tooling (roller). The employee was seen at the clinic and a nail trephination was performed to drain blood from under the fingernail this lead to the case becoming recordable for treatment beyond first aid.
