Before the incident
TM was pulling a birds nest out of their conveyer that was stuck they were using the pliers at first but when the nest didn 't come out they grabbed the shavings with their hand to hold it tight to cut it with the pliers
What happened
Upon doing so the shavings broke free and sliced the outside of the TM pinky finger. TL was nearby and took the TM to the first aid room to get the laceration flushed out and wrapped with gauze in order to transport to the clinic for further care.
