What happened
THE EMPLOYEE WAS WORKING NIGHT SHIFT AND STARTED THE SHIFT AT [REDACTED]. THE EMPLOYEE WAS TASKED WITH REMOVAL OF THE #1 ENGINE ON [REDACTED] 8127. THE EMPLOYEE WAS ON A LADDER ON THE OUTBOARD SIDE OF THE FAN CASE AND WAS COMING DOWN THE LADDER TO GO CHECK THEIR BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS. EMPLOYEE THEN CAUGHT THEIR LEFT-HAND INDEX FINGER ON AN UPPER STEP OF THE LADDER BETWEEN THE SIDE FRAME AND A DAMAGED METAL STEP EXTENSION. THEY WERE THEN AIDED BY OTHER EMPLOYEES. THE EMPLOYEE HAD A DEEP CUT ON THEIR INDEX FINGER AND WAS BLEEDING PROFUSELY. DUE TO THE SEVERITY OF THE CUT I INSTRUCTED THE TECHNICIAN IN CHARGE TO DRIVE THEM TO THE HOSPITAL. Sutures
