I was watching a patient that had been placed into a hospital bed on the psychiatric unit who had been very agitated and combative throughout the night. She had made several attempts to hit kick and jump out of her bed at this time.
What happened
The patient was attempted to slap and kick at me at this time the patient stood up on her knees on the bed and would had fell over the rails if I didn?t redirect her. In the process of trying not to get hit. I banged my leg against the railing.
