EE was unloading coils off an inbound truck and staging them in the coil bay.
What happened
On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] an employee was storing a coil in the [REDACTED] coil storage area. While removing the C-hook the hook rotated and struck the employee’s left hand causing lacerations to two fingers. First aid was provided onsite and the employee was transported to a local emergency room where the wounds were sutured. The injury resulted in work restrictions and two days of lost time. An investigation was completed to determine root causes and corrective actions.
