Lifting

An employee had been routinely lifting extrusions that are approximately 16 ft in length and weigh approximately 25lbs from shoulder height and above. As he was lifting extrusions he felt discomfort in his upper back. The day progressed and he continued lifting extrusions to carry them about 50 feet to his cutting station. At the time of the event he was lifting another extrusion and accidentally pulled a second down with it which caused him to move abruptly. He felt extreme pain and discomfort in his upper back which led to medical intervention.
