Before the incident
Employee was transferring cases of labels from a GMA pallet to a plastic pallet.
What happened
After the employee transferred most of the cases of labels from the wooden GMA pallet the pallet became lighter and began sliding forward off the forks. The employee used his left gloved hand and pushed the pallet back onto the forks and a splinter pierced the palm side of the left glove. The splinter entered the employee 's hand just below the left index finger.
