Cutting 2x6 to continue building walking platform to enter job trailer
What happened
Turner SPO [REDACTED] was cutting 2x6 to build new entry decks for the Turner Office trailer that mobilized to site. The 2x6 was about 2ft long and was being cut with a circular saw when in the last 2 inches the blade pinched between the weight of the two pieces. The employee used his left hand to grab the end of the piece and push towards himself while cutting away and the blade caught his finger. This resulted in a laceration across his left index finger he was treated on site by Turner Safety and later taken to the clinic to receive further treatment. This resulted in the employee receiving stitches to close the laceration.
