What happened
EE was pulling a full cart out of the loader with the assistance of another employee. He did not move his foot quick enough and the square tube that is almost flush with the ground went up over the steel toe part of his boot hitting his right foot directly. He removed his boot and sock we noticed that there is an abrasion by his 4th toe. He stated that the 4th and 5th toe were numb. Swelling started gradually increasing. We cleaned the affected area and applied an ice pack. Workcare was called and he was advised to go home ice take ibuprofen tylenol and then to be seen by a doctor in the morning.
