Before the incident
Offloading steel coils from the railcars.
What happened
After offloading a steel coil from Railcar [REDACTED] the employee attempted to reposition the coil lift bar on the forklift tynes while holding the tail end of the bar with his right hand and supporting the middle with his left hand to maneuver it. During this process the bar slid off from one end of the forklift tynes and fell to the ground pinching his fingers between the bar and the ground. He was wearing impact-resistant gloves at the time of the incident.
