EE received Two small lacerations and a bruised left index finger and middle finger on lock welder on New Salvo line. EE put both fingers on the safety buttons as he should but went to adjust the lock and the welder came in on him and pinched his hand between the welder and the lock causing injury. after investigation we found the welder had a 5 sec delay. Maintenance was notified and the machine was locked out. EE and the rest of team will be reminded never to stick hands near moving parts just as we went over [REDACTED] in startup. EE received first aid and went home at [REDACTED] End of the shift.
