pt was trying to stand during procedure with needle still inserted in arm- tourniquet still attached as i was asking her to wait the needle came out because her movement without my knowledge when i went to apply gauze pt bent down to grab her bag bumping my hand causing me to poke the hand holding the gauze i closed needle grabbed her tourniquet off as she walked out to the door informed pt caused me get to get poked with her contaminated needle she proceeded to walk out.
