What happened
Description: EE had been going in and out of the Solids Handling Building conducting tasks and he felt something in his eye. It was a small unidentified speck. He tried flushing it out and it didn 't come out. We called WorkCare and they advised going to the clinic. Get Well Clinic tried dabbing it out but it wouldn 't come out and they recommended he go to his ophthalmologist. EE did and they removed it. It turns out the ophthalmologist used a micro forceps thus making it medical treatment and OSHA recordable. Suspected Cause: A fine particle of debris blew under hi well-fitting prescription safety glasses. Immediate Actions Taken: He tried flushing it out and it didn 't come out. We called WorkCare and they advised going to the clinic. Get Well Clinic tried dabbing it out but it wouldn 't come out and they recommended he go to his ophthalmologist. EE did and they dabbed it out.
