Exposure to perfume with known allergy at work. Employee does have a history of asthma. She reports that she is very sensitive to fragrances and she was exposed to some fragrance in her office today. She states that she immediately began to feel short of breath and came to the emergency department for further evaluation. Prior to arrival in the emergency department she had used her albuterol inhaler as well as her Spiriva inhaler without much improvement.
