This associate was assisting another associate recover a tube.

Operator was working with another operator to recover a tube. The roving they got recovered back up the tube had gotten wrapped around the wrap bar. Both operators were working with their gloved hands in the bath for a few minutes trying to get the roving fixed. During that time the operator had gotten rips in both protective latex gloves. The operator started to notice a burning sensation after a couple of minutes. The operator removed the gloves noticed a large amount of mix on both hands and then went to clean his hands off with acetone. Operator said the burning sensation was worse when he used the acetone to clean his hands. Associate then reported the pain to his direct supervisor.
