Per Miss [REDACTED] she had just administered lovenox injection to the patient after which she pushed down to activate the safety cover but it did not clip in. On the second attempt the safety clip cover did not activate on push. Then because she was a bit distracted with her improved Spanishwith the assistance of patients family she went to recap the needle which failed. It was then she used her hand to push down hard on the cap in attempt to completely cover the needle when the needle pierced the cover and went into her left pointer finger.
