Unloading blooms from [REDACTED] base to movable cart and slipped off of platform striking left hand against cart injuring two fingers.

Employee was 2.5 hours into a 12-hour shift moving kiln blooms (~2530 lbs each) from the base cart to the transfer cart. While standing on the platform the employees left foot slipped off causing him to lose balance. As he attempted to set down a bloom his left finger was caught under the weight of the material resulting in injury.

The employee reported pain in left fingers. There was visible swelling. No visible lacerations were noted at the time of the incident.
