What happened
Employee was assisting manager and guiding on where the forks of the forklift needed to be inserted into the dock plates in order to move them. As he was verbally instructing the driver where the forks needed to be placed he had his finger between the plate and fork and contact was made and part of the employee 's middle finger was amputated from being caught in between.
