Before the incident

i have 2 total care patients. 704-718i have been boosting and turning both patients.when [REDACTED] asked to help her turn our patient in room 704we turned her and I held her on her side to wipe her then we boosted her up. as I helped boost her up I felt a sharp pain on my lower back my lower back felt tight like my back muscles tighten up. our patient is a heavy pt.we did reverse [REDACTED] to help boost her.she only had 1 chuck under her ( per protocol)no green icu turning devise sliding sheet . ( not allow to use on 7th south pt 's). patient had no ceiling lift.

What happened

when I was boosting her with my co worker [REDACTED] I felt a sharp pain on my lower back. I paused then I felt my lower back tight.. It felt like my lower back muscle tighten up. as my shift continue my lower back hurt more it got harder for me to move or sit. I took 2 tylenol and told my charge [REDACTED] [REDACTED].
