A patient was on the stretcher and kept shifting his weight while the stretcher was in motion. The stretcher was lowered to the appropriate level for patient movement. The patient kept shifting his weight to either side. The patient shifting to the left as he was behind pushing fearing the patient was going to tip the Cot he put my left arm up and pushed his weight back. At the time he felt a pull in the middle of my back but no immediate pain was noted. He woke up [REDACTED] with the middle of my back tightened and used a heating pad to help loosen the muscles. [REDACTED] he had a back spasm that crippled him to the floor so he got into bed to rest it. [REDACTED] the pain wasn 't as bad as the night prior [REDACTED] came and he started to have multiple back spasms.
