Employee was building a crate for vinyl siding. They were bulding the crate on a crating jig made out of metal designed to hold the pieces in place while building crates.

While working and walking along the jig they bumped their shin off a metal post. The employee was wearing jeans and got a scrape through their jeans.

Initally the injury was sore but employee thought they were fine. On 8 1 2023 it was reported to the employees supervisor that his wound had become infected he went to the hospital and received treatment. The employee was put out of work.

The jig was designed with a metal post that sticks out for stacking while not in use. This post is in the area where the employee was working to build the crate.
