Before the incident
driving a ground rod into the ground
What happened
The IE seen that his co-workers had already been driving it down and were a bit tired. IE decided to give the guys a hand so he got the post driver and started hitting the ground rod down. As he was driving the rod down in a good pace he did not realize that in the last lift motion of the driver the ground rod had come out and was no longer in the post drivers guide pipe. He then continued down with the driver thinking he was still in a good position but the rod never entered the guide pipe again and his left wrist was struck against the ground rod with full force.
