What happened
A board was being removed from the frame. When the last screw was removed from the board the cross board fell due to a cut in the wood. The screw that used on the crossboard must have been damaged in the initial install because the haead of the screw was cut in half leaving sharp edges. when the last screw was removed the crossboard fell and sliced into the hand.
