Before the incident
[REDACTED] was getting ready for the day and started to unplug their battery cable from the charger.
What happened
The associate disconnected the battery connection from the charger and battery to plug it into the PIV lift truck. At the time of plugging into the PIV the associate didn’t realize that there was bare copper wire exposed on the connection. As soon as the associate plugged the battery into the PIV it shocked the associate. The result of this incident was an electrical burn on the left middle finger of about 1 ½ inches and discoloration.
