Medical Care procedure

During repair of Mohs defect skin hook pulled through scar and scratched my left fourth finger. I felt the scratch removed my sterile globe and recognized the skin had been broken similar to a papercut. I proceeded to wash my hands with soap and water. The instrument was discarded from the tray and the patient informed immediately following surgery.
