What happened
We were doing an [REDACTED] and PAP smear on a patient in the endoscopy room. The room and cart are not set up for this type of procedure (no stirrups on the bed). Dr. was having difficulty visualizing the cervix and the patient needed to be repositioned multi ple times. Myself and another coworker attempted to lift the patients lower body up three different times to place a stack of blankets under her bottom. When this didn 't work we had to slide the patient to the end of the bed and hold her legs up for Dr. and then slide her back to the top of the bed. Following the multiple attempts repositioning of the patient I was experiencing right shoulder and right sided upper back pain.
