Employee was investigating an air leak in the use bin room and climbed to the first mezzanine to look for the air leak Employee found an air hose not secured and secured the air line and then went to climb back down to the ground level As they descended the ladder their foot contacted the cross beam that supports platform structure behind the ladder instead of the ladder rung and caused their foot to slip off the ladder rung When their foot slipped it dropped from the cross beam to the rung and the employee tightened their grip on the ladder handle This caused their right hand ring finger to be forced against the handle with excess force The employee felt immediate pain in their finger and it began to swell
