While responding to an emergency call for service during inclement weather [REDACTED] was operating his assigned marked patrol vehicle #186 and traveling on [REDACTED] approaching the intersection of the [REDACTED] spur. Due to the large amount of water on the roadway from the heavy rain [REDACTED] patrol vehicle lost contact with the roadway and started to skid. The vehicle continued until striking the center median. [REDACTED] reported head pain and was transported to the hospital from the scene.
