Employee was in the process of unloading an aluminum part out of the cadet on the turret lathe. The turret was moved into place to begin the next part then backed away approximately 6 so he would have enough room to get his hand inside to push the current part out of the back of the machine to remove the completed part.

Employee pushed the completed end of the part with a swift motion out of the back of the machine with palm side of his right hand. The momentum caused his hand to reflex forcefully and hit the part stop with the back side of his gloved hand.

Contusion to the back side of right hand.

Part stop of the CNC turret lathe machine.
