What happened
I was collecting blood cultures with a butterfly set up. After blood cultures were collected I went to re-insert the plastic piece that guides regular lab tubes into vacutainer to collect a regular lab and my right thumb slipped into the middle and hit the part that punctures the tubes (vacutainer).
