What happened
I cleaned the patient 's skin with alcohol. I drew up the medication and leaned over slightly to administer with my left hand holding the skin. I administered the medication with my right hand and withdrew the syringe. I felt the stick in my left index finger. I activated the safety and tossed the syringe. I removed my glove and saw blood. I immediately went to wash my hands and report to the charge nurse.
