Incident happend after nurse gave IM shot to patient
What happened
I gave patient [REDACTED] shot IM. I slide the safety needle cap but it did not close completely. Dirty needle was stuck to my left anterior thumb. My thumb was bleeding after the accident.

After administering vaccine to patient I thought I slid safety glide over needle but as I went to dispose in sharp container I felt a prick to my left anterior thumb.
