Before the incident

While proceeding in to pick up the dump hopper near the electric arc furnace the forks on the fork truck hit against a piece of metal protruding from the floor. When the forks hit the metal the fork truck stopped suddenly and this caused a jarring incident inside the truck for the employee who then felt a strain in his left shoulder.
