What happened
Transferred a patient from the ambulance stretcher to a stair chair due to the stretcher not being able to fit through their front door The Pt had a very steep driveway and once in the stair chairwe had to walk backwards up the driveway and across a soft area of grass to the front door Once in front of the stepshe was carried up five steps to the porch and then into the house Once in the househe was transferred to a recliner at the family s request via the draw sheet I then carried the stair chair back to the ambulance and stored it back on the ambulance After finishing the runI noticed a pain below my left knee and didn t think anything about it until the pain started increasing and notified my supervisor
