Before the incident
The associate was in mixing at the Festoon monitoring the wigwag conveyor watching material go up the belts from the floor level. He noticed it appeared to be jamming. As he moved to hit the conveyor stop button he tripped on a skid that was placed by him there earlier.
What happened
The injured worker noticed material was getting jammed up on top of the festoon “hugger belts”. He went to go around the skid to stop the belts from moving and caught the corner of the skid and tripped causing him to fall on the left side of his body

The fall caused from tripping on the pallet resulted in a fractured left arm and bruised left knee.
