RN and Injured Worker (IW) phoned the Triage Line to report an arm injury that occurred [REDACTED]. IW states she was pulling a resident out of the door in a Chemtech chair when she mashed her left lower arm between the handrail and the chair. IW states her arm is red and hurting burning but denies any swelling or limited movement. IW reports having numbness tingling from her elbow down to her pinky and slight increased pain with use of it. IW was given the option of trying self-care measures or seeking medical care and IW states she would prefer self-care for now. Care measures were reviewed and IW was instructed to call back with new worsening symptoms or no improvement with self-care.
