Before the incident
watching the rubber wind-up onto a shell
What happened
In the process of running the calendar the IW was watching the wind-up. As the rubber ran under the shell the IW noticed wrinkle in the rubber. The IW was wearing rubber coated gloves at the time. He attempted to smooth out the wrinkle and in the process the IW 's hand was pulled through the nip point up to his elbow before he could pull the safety cable to shut off the machine. The calendar team was able to release his arm within 30 seconds.
