What happened
Employee determined that there was a need to reposition a 10 ' step ladder. When the employee went to move the ladder the employee anticipated a certain level of resistance based on his experience moving ladders throughout his working experience. As he attempted to move the ladder the back feet of the ladder being smaller in size became caught on the grating which resulted in more resistance than was expected. This increased resistance while moving the ladder laterally transferred to the individuals shoulder resulting in a soft tissue injury to the employees left shoulder.
