Before the incident

What happened
The employee was turning the tap changer to learn how the resistance changes as it passes magnetic resistance areas within the devise. When the resistance significantly reduced the employee didn 't expect it to turn so freely. When the devise spun freely the employees hand made contact with one of the sharp edges on the devise resulting in a cut to the hand that required 3 sutures.
