What happened
Carrier was delivering mail on the [REDACTED] of [REDACTED]. As he was approaching [REDACTED] there was a white pick up truck in the drive way blocking his view of the driveway and the mailbox. As he was coming around the back of the bed of the truck he was rushed by a big white and brown pitbull dog who lunged at his satchel. The carrier was able to use his satchel on the first lunge but the dog came at him again and bit him on his right forearm. The customer was able to restrain the dog. The carrier called us right away. The dog bite did not break the skin but did leave marks and swelling. He did seek medical attention and was placed off work.
