What happened

At approximately [REDACTED] on [REDACTED] PTF city carrier was delivering mail to [REDACTED] was delivering an assist of dps and parcels and was unfamiliar with the route. She had just left the house to the left and was walking across [REDACTED] 's lawn as she saw a mail slot in the front door. As she was crossing the lawn two dogs appeared from the far side of the house and approached barking. The smaller of the two stopped but the larger continued toward her. The carrier backed slowly across the lawn to create distance between them but the dog followed. It leapt at the carrier and ended up biting her on index finger of the right hand drawing blood. The carrier had dog spray on them but stated they had mail in their hands and weren 't able to react in time. [REDACTED] animal control was alerted of the incident.
