What happened
A TSS Inspections and NDE technician was tasked with taking UT readings in Plant 31 between the F5 and F6 boiler. The technician climbed the scaffold to the area where the UT readings were to be taken to assess the work area. Once he assessed the work area on the scaffold the employee exited the scaffold through the swing gate and attempted to descend the scaffold ladder. As he began to descend the scaffold ladder he fell an estimated 1012 feet to the ground landing on the left side of his hip.
