Delivering parcel to house.

On [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] city carrier was dismounting an oversized package at [REDACTED] to the customers front door. The distance between the box location and the door was 2-3 feet when the customer opened the door to get the package the dog ran past the owner and bit the carrier on the right leg. The carrier did have their dog spray but was unable to get it out in time to fend off the dog. The animal control has been contacted shot vaccinations will be attained by the animal control on [REDACTED]. The delivery has been curtailed until other arrangements can be made for delivery.
