On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] Mail Handler was working at the shake area when he cut his hand open. He was attempting to cut open the zip tie off the sack when the knife cut the zip tie and went through his hand. He was unable to cut open the zip tie due to its thickness. Employee asked [REDACTED] [REDACTED] for assistance and [REDACTED] handed him a pocketknife box cutter he had stored in his side pocket. Employee was taken to St. David’s Medica Center and was given 4 stitches. Doctor gave him 3 days off.
