employee informed supervisor that they rolled their ankle. employee wasn 't sure if they needed medical attention initially. supervisor noted employee wearing black with pink trim converse shoes and asked employee if they were leather employee said no. employee went to locker to put on appropriate shoes stored there. soon after employee requested medical attention by ambulance. employee provided statement that they were struck in ankle by long piece of metal waste they were throwing in the dumpster and simultaneously twisted their ankle.
