What happened

[REDACTED] was rushing to help the raw meat mixer operator remove a batch from the paddle mixer. The discharge doors of the mixer were opened and the paddle was turning to push the meat out of the mixer. As the meat was coming out of the mixer [REDACTED] pushed the meat from side to side into two troughs that sit at the base of the mixer discharge. As [REDACTED] bypassed the safety guard on the machine he reached his fingers inside of the mixer to grab the meat and push into a trough. [REDACTED] was not sure of whether the mixer paddles were stopped or running. He yelled out in pain and immediately left the mixer area. As [REDACTED] removed his cut resistant gloves he saw a laceration to his right index finger. At [REDACTED] [REDACTED] reported his incident to [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] was administered first aid by a plant first responder and taken to a medical provider. [REDACTED] sustained injuries to his right index 6 stiches and middle bruising and possible fracture fingers. [REDACTED
