Removing scrap wire from drawblock
What happened
Injured operator removed scrap loops of wire on drawblock after a wire break. After removing the scrap loops the operator attempted to twist the wire to confine the loops to put in scrap hopper. When this occurred the end sprung loose and punctured through the left cheek.
